Flash Decompiler Trillix

Flash Decompiler Trillix is an incredibly user friendly program.  A user who has had little or no experience with Flash development would be able to use the software. As someone who has worked in web development, I know the frustration of losing an .fla file.  I can remember a particular instance in which I had to make changes to a website with Flash elements that was done years before, and all I had access to were the files saved on a remote server – the .swf files.  I did not have the .fla working file.  The Decompiler would have been a life saver! The process of restoring a file is very simple – open the .swf file and click a button.  That’s it.  And it gets better – if you do not have Flash, you can edit the components of the file within the Decompiler interface itself!  If you do have Flash, you can open it there as well. The resulting .fla file is a workable file – complete with actionscript, sounds, tweens, etc.  The first time I imported a converted file and opened it in Flash, the result exceeded my expectations. I could not believe how decompiler recognized so many elements within the file. The Decompiler work space is very clean and easy to use.   I recommend this tool for any developers using Flash elements in their work.

SWF & FLV Toolbox

As a web designer, I have to work every day with the fact that an end-user may or may not be able to access information properly because of browser incompatibility and software issues.  Many times users will be prompted to install a Flash or other type of media players or browsers, but cannot because they do not have administrator capabilities on the machine they use – this is especially prevalent in the public sector such as at universities and government agencies. The SWF & FLV Toolbox allows developers to convert their .swf and .flv files into other formats including animated .gif and frame by fame .jpg/.gif/.bmp image series so that all users can view the file.  The end-user experience is extremely important, and the SWF & FLV Toolbox allows developers more control over this aspect of their design.  My favorite component of this program is the cool screensaver creator!  The Toolbox allows users to create a Windows screensaver from a .swf file.   The process couldn’t be simpler.  Tell the Toolbox what file you want to use, click a button, and you’re done - and the results are great.  This is a wonderful option for users to create more dynamic screensavers for clients or for themselves, and control what the end-user experiences.

SWF Video Converter

Sharing movies on the web is becoming more and more popular; however, extremely large file size and software compatibility issues can sometimes be prohibitive for users.  The SWF Video Converter is a great tool for users wanting to share movie files, or incorporate movie files into their work. The Converter converts any movie file, and compresses it into a .swf or .flv format, so the video may be played with an Adobe Flash player, which is, by far, the most widely used animated media viewing application. Not only does the program convert and compress files, it allows the user to make edits to the video including adding watermarks and cropping.  The Converter interface is very straight-forward and easy to use. I recommend this program both for professional developers looking to integrate video, and home-users sharing movies with family and friends.
